History:

 Valencia CF will play against Sevilla FC in a big clash for Europe at the Sanchez Pizjuán at 4.15 pm kick-off-time (CET) on matchday 29. A win for Valencia CF will see them go above Sevilla on goal difference on 43 points.

Valencia CF inflicted a 0-2 win last season with Rodrigo Moreno at the double and the reverse fixture ended in a 1-1 draw thanks to a late Mouctar Diakhaby header to share the points at Mestalla on matchday 15.
